Party, Party, After Party

On Saturday night I had a choice of four different parties to attend. Sure it might sound a bit excessive but somehow it seems appropriate for summer time.

We (Roomie, Straight Gay Boyfriend and I) headed off to the first party around. It was great, a birthday party with burgers, cake, hula hooping and a surfing motif. I was there for about four hours, the other two party goers each took off for a bit to other parties, but I thought, no two parties would be enough for me. Besides I was just getting the hang of the hula hoop.

Around 9pm Roomie came back to pick me up and we headed home to drop off the car and go to the next party ( #2 for me and #3 for her). We rounded up SGB (also party #3 for him) and headed over to a huge gathering with DJs, fire spinners, drag queens and lip sinkers. There were over a hundred people, quite a site to see in my little neighbourhood. You may or man not remember that I vaguely mentioned this party in a post last summer http://thoughtsofasinglegirl.blogspot.com/2008/07/bad-blogger-very-bad-blogger.html where I was drunk in a hammock chair and made out with a guy that I can’t really remember, yeah, I am allllll class. Anyway the party was huge, Awesome joined our gang around 10:30pm – he too was party hoping, and I ran into the Grocer and other random neighbour hood friends. I even met a new boy.

I was wandering from the fire pit, through the dance floor towards the chill space, where my beer was, and I almost ran into a plastic saber worn by a cute boy. Having a flirtatious moment I told him he should put a sheath on that thing and he apologized and told me it was at home with a different pair of pants. So we chatted and flirted for a bit and then he said he had to go for a bit but would I hold his sword. Why not I thought, and so I carried it for a bit and then hid it in a tree. Around midnight the cops came to the property … something about noise by laws … so the party was forced to break up. I gave sword man back his saber and invited him back to our place, where apparently “two or three people” we coming by. Sadly sword man had a different after party to go to (there were apparently three or four that formed after the cops broke up the good time) so I gave him my number and we parted ways.

When Awesome and I arrived in the back yard there was a after party happening with a fire, booze and about 30 – 40 people. Having been up since 6:30am I can’t really claim to have taken full advantage of the after party opportunity. By around 2:30 I was done for the evening and headed off to bed. According to SGB the last of the partiers left the back yard a little after 5am. Glad I didn’t try to keep up until 5am but not bad for a Saturday night.

Not bad at all.

Seriously?

When we broke up I told the SSM I didn’t want to speak to him again, ever. I think my exact words were “when I hang up this phone, it is over, no more chatting, emails or phone calls … I will be deleting you from everything” and then I blocked him on facebook, gmail chat and messenger and deleted his phone number. Pretty clear, no? Well apparently this week he wanted to try to find a way around the system.

Yesterday he sent an instant message to roomie on facebook saying “Hug TSG for me, but don’t tell her it is from me.” Her response was to tell him, dude, I am not going to get in the middle of this, so please don’t ask. Good on Roomie for not getting in the middle, but seriously, WTF was he thinking?

I have never been interested in having a blog that trashes the men I dated before, but seriously that is just a little to immature and passive aggressive not to comment on.

Seriously, grow up.

Almost Single

I have a button that I wear on my spring jacket. The button reads Almost Single, which, when I bought it seemed appropriate as I was in an open long distance relationship. I hadn’t really thought about the button until a few days ago when a bunch of people – here at the conference I am at - felt compelled to comment on my button, what does that mean, how provocative, isn’t that funny/interesting and so on. The most notable came from a man that I have met once or twice but know of quite well by his reputation as a ladies man/lover of women/slut, depending on who is giving the answer.

He was very intrigued by the button and made jokes and comments and I became all flirty and blushed and sputtered my way through a conversation. Once it was over I commented to my coworker that I am traveling with that I thought he was hitting on me. “Probably”, she replied “he is known to do that sort of thing” and we left it at that.

Later that evening I attended an event and the flirtatious man ended up occupying the seat next to me. He went routing through his bag and pulled out a sandwich. “Do you think they allow eating here in the auditorium” he asked looking around nervously as he started to unwrap his sandwich. “Probably not, but it is a small sandwich and you have large hands, I am sure you can be discreet but it.” I replied. Thank you for noticing he said and he unwrapped his sandwich and ate it.. “You know, you are going to get caught because you look like someone trying not to get caught.” I told him as he cautiously watched for ushers. “You need to eat your sandwich with confidence as though you know you are aloud to eat it here.” As I said that he stood up in the middle of the auditorium faced me and chewed on his turkey sandwich in defiance. I giggled profusely and recommended he sit back down.

We continued our small talk and flirtation right up until curtain time. As the evening was about to begin I decided that my short legs would be more comfortable if I sat cross legged for the 75 minute presentation. After crossing them I turned to the terribly flirtatious man and said “I hope you don’t mind my leg being so dangerously close to yours.” Apparently he didn’t as he spent the next 75 minutes very subtly caressing my leg.

After the show we were to go to a reception, but I decided I wanted to quickly change, as did the flirtatious man. We headed toward our respective hotels, continuing to discuss my button and flirt outrageously. He told me I should meet him in his room once I was ready, he even offered me my own key. I declined the key offer but did make my way to his room. He offered me ice cream and I sat on his bed and watched him iron his shirt while I enjoyed a few spoonfuls of chunky monkey. It was there in his room we first kissed, and then in the elevator leaving the hotel, and the elevator on our way to the party.

Once we entered the reception and we parted ways for a few hours, each of us with colleagues to talk to and new friends to make. I ended up chatting with a very attractive man from the city who gave me some insight about his city and its people. After about three hours I was ready to leave the party, as was the Flirtatious Man. We decided to go for a walk.

We chatted a bit about ourselves as we walked away from the regular cityscape and into a park area. I found out a little about him and his family, how he ended up working in the business and what his plans for the future were – work wise. Once in the park he took me by the hand and asked me to follow him off the well lit path. I cautiously agreed as we wandered into the woods and up a steep hill. He seemed to think there was a ledge in a clearing that we could hang out in, but no it was only a fallen log part way up the hill. Instead of leaving we ended up making out leaned against a tree on a most precarious angle for about 30 minutes. I am not one for salacious details, but I will say it was a lot of fun to make out in the trees. We each had early mornings so we wandered back towards our hotels and parted ways for the evening.

A few days later we met for brunch and another walk. This time we just wandered the city streets in the light of day and chatted about life and work. He talked about his romantic life and the three women he was currently dating, and I talked about the new guy I was excited to fly home to see in a day or two. As we ate brunch and shared stories I decided the Almost Single button should go to him, he really liked it and with three girlfriends it is more appropriate for him, than for me these days. I took it off my coat and slid it across the table to him. He happily accepted and put it on his coat and then we went back to our omelets and idle chatter.

Four Strikes, You're Out

While I can’t say I am totally over my crush I have decided that I will not be pursuing anything for a number of reasons, not the least of which is we are working together right now. I have discovered a few things over the past few days that have made me positive this kid is not worth my time or energy romantically.

Strike One – He is an aspiring actor. I have always thought dating actors was a very very bad idea. If someone has evidence that I am wrong or a story to disprove my theory … I am all ears.

Strike Two – He is a smoker. I stopping smoking 3 ½ years ago and when I stopped smoking I stopped dating smokers, it is gross and quite frankly just a little too tempting a reason to start again.

Strike Three – He has a girlfriend. For all his flirting and chatting in the past week when we were at the bar after work last night he introduced me to some girl and then 20 seconds later they were holding hands and snuggly. Nuff Said

Strike Four (not that we really another strike, three is good for baseball and the girlfriend thing makes this all a non starter, but I feel I must) – He is 27. After four years of dating men in their 20s I am beginning to think it is time for me to look towards more age appropriate lovers for a while. As much fun as Fireboy, Awesome and the SSM were, maturity is a quality I would now like to track.

Realistically even thinking about dating is kind of silly as I have only been “single” for a week or two. Bah, who am I kidding if I could I would be out on the scene dating again if there was anyone worth looking at.

Crushed

I have a crush. It is bad. He is 28 or 29 and an actor.

That being said, it is nice to be up and thinking about someone new as oppose to focusing on the old.

Too busy to share more, but hopefully on the weekend I can elaborate and create an appropriate nickname for the wee lad.

The New Guy

Last week in the middle of the week the new guy (who has been dubbed BPOD by Fireboy, GB and Roomie but that is a story for another day) and I finally went out. It wasn’t your typical first date, but I am not your typical date kinda girl.

He picked me up at around 9pm in his work truck and we went back to his place so he could have a shower – as he had just come from work. This gave me a chance to snoop around his apartment for a bit and see what kind of guy I was potentially getting involved with. He has a beautiful old piano, a bunch of books about Taoism and Buddism, a MAC and a really clean condo. So far, so good.

We had planned to go for a walk around his neighbourhood for so once he was ready we headed out. We wandered side streets looking at old homes, big trees and landscaping and talked about your average getting to know you stuff. WE came across a park and went for a swing and talked about swings and playgrounds and games we played as children. By the time we wandered out of the park I was pretty sure he wasn’t going to kiss me. I couldn’t decide if he just wasn’t attracted to me or if the knowledge of another man just wasn’t his thing, but either way, I didn’t see a kiss in my future. Which was fine he was (is) still a fascinating man to talk to and spend time with.

We continued on down the road and came to a large park where he told me there was a pool. He told me that the pool was quite warm and that last weekend he had broken in and gone for a swim. “You mentioned earlier that you like to climb trees. How do you feel about climbing fences?” He asked looking at the top of the fence. “Pretty good, really.” I replied and we both hopped the fence**. “Wanna go for a swim? The water is really warm.” He asked. My outside voice said “Umm … is only like 10 degrees out and really windy. I am not sure that is a good idea.” My inside voice said “Ummm … get naked with you, I don’t think so. I am way to self conscious and nervous for that.” Luckily he agreed that it was a little to cold, instead we rolled up our jeans and stuck our feet in the warm pool. We chatted some more and looked at the stars and then he kissed me. And we kissed for a while with our feet dangling in the pool and the stars looking on from above.

We decided it was getting cold – and cold concrete isn’t the greatest surface for good kissing - and put our shoes on and headed out of the pool. We wandered around the fence to find the best place to go back over, as we had both ripped our jeans on the way in, and we found a two foot hole at the bottom of the fence and opted to climb through there, lest we rip our jeans any further. We went to his place got the keys to his truck and he drove me back to my house. We parked outside and started to say goodbye.

Truck, might not be the best description of what he was driving, it was a cargo van for delivering stuff, so it was big. We turned our knees inward to the space between the seats and kissed goodbye, for about 5 minutes. I remarked at some point that this vehicle was not ideal for a goodnight kiss. He agreed and soon after pointed out that he would like to stretch out and looked to the back of the truck. I laughed out loud said no way am I lying down in the back of a cargo van and pointed out to him that we are both adults and no longer need to do things like make out in a truck as we both have our own homes with couches and beds, and asked if he would like to come in for a bit.

He came in, met the dog, was re introduced to GB and then we went hung out and kissed a little more. At about 12:30 I told him I had to kick him out as I had a long day the next day and I walked him to the door. We kissed goodbye and he said “I will see you later” and I said, “Yeah, that would be great, when would you like to do that?” His response “I don’t know … I really don’t know.” And he stood there looking very puzzled “Alright, you think about that and call me when you have some idea.” I said with a laugh and closed the door.

Not a perfect end, but an interesting date, and even with that vague goodbye I think there will be another date.

Too Much ... Maybe

I have been told on occasion that I can be a bit brash. Mostly it happens when I have had a few pints and decide I need to introduce myself to tourists, or pick an argument just because I feel like it. But there are times when I am naturally out spoken without the aid of any drinks. I know! It was shocking to me too, but onto the story.

Yesterday I was talking with this guy about yet another sales meeting and I had to move it up a week earlier than we had initially discussed. We ended up talking for fifteen minutes about this and that and my upcoming business trip and he was recommending a pub to me … blah blah blah … so we finally found a date that worked and it was a week earlier than originally proposed. Once the date was settled we had the following exchange

Sales Guy: So now the meeting is a week early, and you aren’t going to be there.

TSG: Sorry man, there is nothing I can do, the boss wants to talk sooner.

Sales Guy: And you aren’t even going to go to the pub I recommended.

TSG: Sorry, I am going to be busy, I can’t do everything.

Sales Guy: But you managed to move the meeting up by a week. Now I have to do the prep earlier and work instead of …

TSG: … surfing for porn on the internet … (I still can’t quite believe I said that)

Long Silence

Sales Guy: I can’t believe you just said that.

TSG: What? Porn?

Sales Guy: Yes. I don’t think a client has ever said that to me. I can’t even say that word in my office.

TSG: *giggle* Really? My office is a little more relaxed than yours. But I think you already knew that.

The conversation continued from there for a bit but I don’t think he ever really recovered from the shock.

If he shocks that easily, is he really the kind of guy this single girl wants to be hanging around?

The Circle is Complete

On Saturday Fireboy and Awesome finally met, now all of my boys have met each other. There isn’t much to tell about the actual introduction or beers that followed. They chatted about life, exchanged a few stories and generally kept it all light.

Now the circle of boys is complete. Each of them now have a face to put with the name of other men in my life.

There is more stories to tell from Fireboy’s visit but unfortunately I am off to the pub with GB and Roomie after a very long work day.

I will try to update you all tomorrow.

Isn’t It Always The Way

You spend an hour with a cute sales guy talking, and joking as he tries to sell you a product. You think to yourself, wow, cute, funny, just bought his first condo in your neighbourhood. You know the type the kind of guy I am talking about, fit, might play hockey in the winter, golf in the summer, loves a good pint of beer at the pub and has a great sense of humour. Perfect right? There is just one problem. He has a girlfriend.

My thought when he mentioned his girlfriend - get out of my office, I don’t have time for a man with a girlfriend I have work to do … and no I am not going to buy your product, are you kidding, I don’t buy things from guys with girlfriends!

I couldn't do it

I was over at Awesome’s place last night watching a movie and some Gamily Guy episodes, and some snuggling, which seems to be our new routine when I am at his place. And as is our custom after a bit he said “I should get you home” and I told him I drove GB’s car over because I had been running late. “Really!” he responded and immediately stood up and took off his pants. “Umm what are you doing? What does me driving have to do with you having or not having pants on?” I inquired. “Well … If I don’t have to drive you home I can just get ready for bed” He replied as he crawled back into his bed in his underwear and t-shirt pulling the covers up over both of us. (I was fully clothed BTW.)

So I stayed for a bit and we snuggled and kissed. When the kissing started to get a little more serious, I couldn’t do it. I asked him to stop and if we could take a breather. He got up and grab us some water and we lied around and enjoyed pillow talk as only he and I can – Terminator 2, weaponry and buying lasers online – and then I went home.

I could have stayed, I know he wouldn’t have minded. He told me what time the alarm was set for and when I asked if I needed a permit for the street he said “No. Why are you going to stay all night?” Oh that and he offered last time I was there.

I knew I wouldn’t sleep well as I have been too stressed at work and the sexual tension would have driven me over the edge. And actually having sex, would have driven me to tears, not because it would be bad, but just because I am over tired and pretty emotionally raw this week – not an ideal situation for casual sex. But most of all I don’t think I could be with him because I know that the SSM will be here in a few days, and it sort of feels wrong when I know he is on his way to see me.

Weird eh? Well maybe not, but it felt a bit weird at the time.

The Single Girl

Monday

Right Now

On Saturday afternoon I was at the esthetician having all the hair unceremoniously ripped from my legs and I heard a song come on the radio. Given the situation, it is pretty amazing that the lyrics grabbed me so quickly and moved me out of the room, far away from the ripping and the pain and into my own head.

I often think that my life timing is really good in some ways – career, friendships – and really bad in others – romantic relationships. If I was to make a guess, I would say that in almost all of my relationships I have been about six months off the mark. Either walking in to someone’s life to early or too late. It isn't always them, sometimes it's me, but who ever the culprit is timing seems to be a big problem. Careers, past relationships, current relationships, circumstance, distance have all played a part and if I had only (or they had) been there a little before or a little after things might be different.

But back to the song that got me thinking about all this…

I was a busy girl yesterday and forgot to look them up, but I woke up this morning thinking of the opening lyrics; Don't know why I'm still afraid, If you weren't real I would make you up. I have now found it and brought to you. Hope you like the song. I do.

Taking a Break

After what can only be called two weeks of lavish attention from both the SSM and Fireboy I have decided to cut them both off for about a week. I need a little break from the IMing, calls, texts, chats and such so I can step back and get a little perspective on everything. I told the SSM last night as we were chatting and he was fine with the idea and grateful that I actually said I needed a break instead of just hiding from him online for a week. I composed an email to Fireboy telling him I need a rest as well. I was kinda hoping to chat about it with talk to him, which is ironic … hi, yeah, I wanted to talk to you to tell you not to talk to me … but the email was fine and he too was very understanding.

I think this will be good for all of us. A break from everything to just think about each other (or not) and figure some things out. GB asked me how I was going to fill my days and I told him he was going to have to fill in the chatting gaps. He didn’t necessarily think that was the answer. I think I will be fine, I have a busy week including a business trip on the west coast so that will help keep me occupied.

I wonder if I will make it through the whole week? Maybe I will just blog more … does that sound good?

It might be a Date … but as usual I am not sure

On Tuesday I am going for beer and pizza with the new man (he needs a better name … but this is all I have right now). He gave me his old ipod so I offered to take him out as a thank you because he wouldn’t take my money. He liked the idea and we hatched a plan to take him to a bar he has never been to – and one of my favs.

Yesterday I had to stop by his place to grab the adaptor for the ipod and we chatted flirtily (I think I just made up a word) for a bit while GB waited in the car. A good sign that I might be headed into a date, but anyone who reads this blog regularly knows that I am a terrible judge of dates. Date or no date I am looking forward to hanging out with the new man.

Add another log to the complication pile.

The return of the Vodka Source, the New Man and the Missing Piece of the Puzzle

Tonight I have a “date” with the Vodka Source. My evenings out with him have always proven to be alcohol fueled and full of fun. Tonight we are going to behave by seeing a play and not meeting for cocktails before. I have the gym in the morning so I am hoping that will be inspiration enough to stop me from having more than two drinks after the show. Sadly, I doubt it as we have been trying to get together for a date for over a month now. I think we will end up drinking and talking until quite late as we often do.

The new man is a man I have sort of known for a year or so through work circles but up until recently have never really talked to. A few weeks ago we were out with a large group and ended up sitting and drinking at the bar together while to a live band. We started talking about music and he ended up offering me his old ipod (because I lost mine over Christmas) and to make me a playlist of some of his favourite tunes. I still don’t have the ipod, or the playlist, but I think once I finally get them I will offer to take him for a beer to say thanks and to continue the conversation.

The Missing piece of the puzzle, that is a little more complicated than the other two. Back in the summer Mr. Awesome introduced me to one of his ex girlfriends and we ended up hitting it off and have sense become very good friends. We have lunches, dinners, drinks and sleepovers. We seem to always have things to say to one another and often end up talking for hours when we are only suppose to have one drink.

On New Year’s Eve she and I ended up snuggled up in front of the fireplace facing one another, holding hands and talking. Nothing happened but she and I are both very aware that there is a degree of tension between us. GB likes to call her my “girlfriend” and both of our mothers have pointed out that we have become fast fast friends. I don’t think anything would ultimately happen between us as neither one of us are really interested in girls, she is back together with her boyfriend and me, I have a small harem of men and boys on my mind, but it is a new thing for me, tension with a female friend.

I just thought you all should know that the SSM and Fireboy don’t take up all the room in my brain, there are a few other complications orbiting around right now as well.

Here’s hoping your mind is a bit less full my faithful readers.

If I could commit to TSG by Fireboy and the SSM

Where do I start … the week was great. The boys and I went to theatre and music shows, stayed up until the wee hours talking about our life plans, made meals, Went for drinks and pizza, I went to work during the day and they played at home … all in all we had a wonderful time together and the roomies had fun with us too.

On their last day at the house the boys decided it would be nice to do the dishes for me and the roomies as a thank you for the hospitality. Not long into their good deed they discovered the drain was broken and went from dishwashers to amateur plumbers. While having adventures in plumbing each boy talked about what their life could be like if they could commit to me. They admitted to having pangs of jealousy about my relationship to the other and why right now a relationship won’t work. Then they each talked to me.

Fireboy told me that currently things are too complicated but, that in a different time and place he would like to pursue a relationship with me. He likes me and my style and the focus I have for my career and friends. After two years of being lovers and now friends, he has a crush on me.

The SSM told me he doesn’t know what to do with me. At times he feels guilty for keeping me around. He feels selfish for keeping me around because I make him feel good and that right now he can’t commit to the potential of what this could be.

I told Fireboy that I was extremely flattered and that in a different time and place I would like to see where this relationship could go as well, but for now, being friends has to be the focus. To the SSM I said, whether he believes he can or not, he is already in a relationship with me. I then told him that I like things as they are between us and for now a casual long distance relationship is all I can handle.

What does this all mean? I have no idea, but it is pretty flattering, confusing and complicated. I think I need a few days to sort through all the words, thoughts and emotions expressed over the past week.

The Single Girl

Ps. For you voyeuristic readers the SSM slept with me and Fireboy was on the couch. Oh and the drain is still clogged.

Tuesday

Busy with Complication on Top

Okay, so I didn’t have time last week to blog because work was too busy, this week, work is still busy but I also have the added complication of Fireboy and the SSM staying with me for the next few days.

Sometimes I don’t know how I do it.

More to come if I can find 10 minutes when they aren’t near me so I can keep you all up to date.

SSSSSSSSSHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! They don’t know I have a blog.

The Unholy Pentagon

It has come to my attention that I currently have five boyfriends – GB,OQB, Fireboy, Awesome, and the SSM. Each one of them hold a special place in my heart and my life. This might be oversimplified, but here is what each one of them bring to my life currently.

GB is my primary boyfriend (so to speak). He is my roommate and friend and we share everything from our daily minutia to our long term life plans.

OQB is my fabulous boyfriend. He and I share a party lifestyle and spend time dancing, talking about relationships and generally condemning the world to be less fabulous than we are.

Frieboy is my spiritual boyfriend. He and I spend our time together talking about how we feel and what we are trying to do with our lives and how, we can improve ourselves and our relationships.

Awesome is my bad boy boyfriend. Awesome and I spend our time talking about conspiracy theories, how the world sucks and everyone is out to get him and that there is no point in trying because it is all going to end in shit anyway.

The SSM is my ex boyfriend. He is the man who is teaching me what I want and deserve from a romantic partner.

Together they create my unholy pentagon.

Having realized this I think it is time to lose one or two of the boyfriends before a man in a red suit shows up at my door offering me a plumb job in hell.

Who Knew That is What I Needed?

One of the best nights out I have had in weeks, turned out to be a night in with OQB last week. I was staying at his place one night while in the centre of the universe and when we were making a plan for the evening he asked what I wanted to do as it was a Friday night. “Don’t really care, what do you want to do?” I said thinking we would hit a bar or two, but he surprised me by saying “I don’t care as long as we don’t go out.”

So we stayed in, gossiped, drank a bottle of wine, contemplated drinking a second and played a game of scrabble. Not what I expected from my OQB, but truly what I needed and wanted. Part of our gossiping circled around this blog actually … and a post I made a few days early called Vaguely Messy.

After I posted Vaguely Messy, one of my regular readers and an interesting blogger in his own right Cap. posted a comment. I read it accepted it and responded. Ten minutes later, another comment – at this point he has made my day – and another response from me. Then, much to my surprise he gave me his email so we sent a few emails about West Coast Swing – a topic he is very passionate about. Now, don’t get any ideas readers, it was all just innocent flirtation and chat, but again, it was what I needed and wanted – attention from someone other than the messy boys in my life.

So thanks Cap and OQB for making this single girl’s week last week. You both rock.

Who knew, Today is National Ex-boyfriend Day?

This morning I got an email from Awesome – pretty standard – telling me he has a present to give me before I leave town. I like presents! And we ended up emailing back and forth all morning. Around noon the SSM sent me an instant message asking how the travel plans were going – somewhat strange (like him, ha! but I digress) - and we ended up chatting for a bit. Then at the end of the day my cellphone rang and my ex boyfriend from University (Uni-ex) called - a very strange and rare event – and we also had a lovely conversation for about twenty minutes including my plans to go home.

(Side note, yes I am going home, and I will tell you all about that, but today is national ex-boyfriend day so I am focusing on that).

Anyway, Uni-ex and I chatted for a while about my life, my plans to go home, my work, his new house, his new job, blah blah blah. He asked if he could see me at some point as I would be living close to the centre of the universe. Always thinking of my readers I said “Well the SSM wants me to come to town for Fireboy’s birthday because he is going to be there, so if you come too it could be a great big ex-boyfriend party.” “Um ….” “I’m kidding Uni-ex you don’t have to come to that event. I am sure there will be other opportunities to see you while I am in the area.” “Oh, uhhh, alright.” And the conversation continued on in its friendly way.

Later, while recounting the story to GB, telling him today was national ex-boyfriend day. His response “Everyday is National Ex-boyfriend day for you TSG, think about it.” “Not really, I mean, I … now that you mention it, everyday might be a bit of an ex-boyfriend day.” There could be worse things than having exes you can continue to have a friendly relationship with.

Hee hee, Uni-ex. I can’t stop laughing at that name. He would hate to be called that.

I love it.
