The Twelve Days of Detox
Today begins the 12 days of detox for Roomie, GB and I. No Cheese (well dairy of any kind, but cheese is what we really miss), no wheat, no sugar, limited caffeine and no booze.
I think it is going to be a long day one.
Wish us luck!

OK, fine, I'll give up sugar again in solidarity. I just can't let you guys feel alone in your suffering. You are not an island. The Nation supports you.

Here's an extremely tasty dinner/lunch that violates none of your detox principles, and only takes about 3 minutes of active preparation:
- 1 can of chickpeas
- 1 can of diced tomatoes (and I know how you feel about canned tomatoes, mmm)
- 1 package of dried spinach.
Place the above in a pot on medium. Add indiany spices, such as curry powder and cumin, some basil, maybe some onion powder and garlic powder if the idea doesn't offend you. Cinnamon. Perhaps some crushed chilis. Stir, cover, occasionnally stir some more, until heated through.
It's so good! I Can't Believe It's Not Toxic! (Ha, maybe I'll call it that from now on!)
This is my idea of "Kraft Dinner" these days. Yes, I've come a long way, baby.
Thanks for the recipe - we actually aren't suppose to have canned tomatoes, but by about day 8, we might not care. GB roomie and I thank you for the recipe and the solidarity.
oh jeez. Well, fresh tomatoes would work. But then you'd have to like... cut them and stuff.
I laugh at you MWAHAHAHAH..actually I laugh at you whilst I drink a Vodka soda, have a cheese sandwich and a pixie stick!!!
MUAH!
Don't be too smug OQB. Next time you do the master cleanse I am going to send Fireboy over to your house to drink vodka and eat McDonald's and ice cream in front of you.
