As we are on the topic of email

Is email like the phone in terms of judging a boy's interest based on how long it takes him to send you an email once he gets your email address?

I know the phone rule is don't expect a call for two days, and my response to a message two days after getting giving out my number is to call the next day if I have missed the call. If I am there I will answer the call, screening is for later.

But what of email? How soon is too soon to send or reply to the email? If someone isn't witty or is a bad speller is that reason to jump ship?

Why don't I know any of this you ask. I have never gotten a date online, so I don't know. I kind of feel like a ludite for writing this but I truly don't know.
